The Managing Director, Mr. Muhammad Munther Al-Handal, of the Iraqi Small and Medium Enterprises Finance Company Limited, participated in the conference on the actual needs for financing small and medium enterprises in Iraq, which was organized by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the Central Bank, Mr. Ali Al-Alaq.

Al-Handal spoke, during a discussion session alongside the Director General of the Banking Department at the Central Bank, Ms. Qisma Salih, the Executive Director of the Association of Private Banks, Mr. Ali Tariq, and the President of the Iraqi Federation of Industries, Mr. Adel Akab, about the impact of financing these projects on creating job opportunities and reducing the unemployment rate in Iraq, as well as the challenges facing the borrower and lender, which require radical solutions, which the Central Bank is working on in the lending strategy scheduled to be launched next year.
