The Iraqi Company for Financing Small and Medium Enterprises participated in the Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Forum  GRC Forum by sponsoring the silver event held at the Babylon Rotana Hotel on Tuesday, 5/28/2024  which was organized by the House of Hekma Training and Consulting Company  BHTC, due to the importance this event represents in spreading banking culture on this matter and in the presence of Dr. Laila Al-Tamimi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Strategic Planning Committee, and Mr. Mustafa Al-Karaawi, Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee Representatives of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Central Bank of Iraq, business leaders, and a large group of specialists, experts, and representatives of companies and banks from the government and private sectors.

The interest comes in the governance policy, which is represented in the processes, policies, management and application of the laws that govern the institution with the aim of ensuring its effective, transparent and reliable work. As for compliance, it is considered the monitoring of the application of these laws and policies and ensuring their implementation according to specific standards that will improve the use of resources and enhance confidence. The role of risk management comes in identifying and evaluating what may affect the institution’s ability to achieve its goals, analyzing the expected risks and developing proactive strategies to confront them, as all of these processes fall within the government curriculum and under the umbrella of the reform program of the Iraqi government.

The Bank's management is keen to participate in such specialized forums and conferences because they represent a specialized practical aspect that works to develop the work of financial and banking institutions and thus contributes to the development of the financial and economic sector in general.
